Катастрофа Ту-144 под Парижем — авиационная катастрофа, произошедшая в воскресенье 3 июня 1973 года на 30-м международном авиасалоне Ле-Бурже (близ Парижа, Франция).


Советский авиалайнер Ту-144С авиакомпании «Аэрофлот» (принадлежал ОКБ Туполева) выполнял показательный полёт, когда на глазах 250-350 000 зрителей внезапно перешёл в пикирование, а через несколько секунд рассыпался в воздухе и рухнул на находившиеся под ним жилые районы городка Гуссенвиль, расположенного в 6 километрах от аэропорта Ле-Бурже. В катастрофе погибли 14 человек — все 6 членов экипажа Ту-144 и 8 человек на земле.

Это первая в истории катастрофа сверхзвукового авиалайнера.

Материалы расследования были засекречены, а официальные выводы следственной комиссии многим показались неудовлетворительными, что породило ряд гипотез об истинных причинах катастрофы.

"Después del desastre las junta de investigación francesa determinó que el estrés al que los pilotos sometieron el avión causaron la ruptura de la aleta izquierda, la cual se desprendió e impacto los tanques de combustible situados bajo el ala izquierda, causando su explosión y posterior desprendimiento, se cree también que el avión entró en pérdida debida la desactivación de un componente de seguridad por parte de los ingenieros para poder realizar un show más impresionante este elemento limitaba el control de superficie del Túpolev a un máximo de 5 grados mientras las aletas permaneciesen extendidas, se descubrió que los pilotos la desactivaron para hacer un vuelo más espectacular, se estima que los pilotos intentaron desplegar las alas para recuperar el control, lo que resultó en su desprendimiento, cuando los soviéticos escucharon estas explicaciones no fueron de su agrado, ya que atribuyen la culpa a un supuesto avión caza francés que volaba muy cerca mientras tomaba fotos del Túpolev durante su vuelo aquel día, los soviéticos declaran que sus pilotos habrían intentado evadir la aeronave militar francesa lo que desencadenaría en el desastre.

One theory is that the Tu-144 maneuvered to avoid a French Mirage chase plane that was attempting to photograph its unique canards,[18] which were advanced for the time, and that the French and Soviet governments colluded with each other to cover up such details.[14] The flight of the Mirage was denied in the original French report of the incident, perhaps because it was engaged in industrial espionage. More recent reports have admitted the existence of the Mirage (and the fact that the Soviet crew were not told about the Mirage's flight) though not its role in the crash. However, the official press release did state: "though the inquiry established that there was no real risk of collision between the two aircraft, the Soviet pilot was likely to have been surprised."[14] Howard Moon, author of Soviet SST: The Techno-Politics Of The Tupolev-144, stresses that last-minute changes to the flight schedule would have disoriented the pilots in a cockpit with notably poor sightlines. He also cites an eyewitness who claims the co-pilot had agreed to take a camera with him, which he may have been operating at the time of the evasive maneuver.[14] The initial approach may have been an attempted landing on the wrong runway, which occurred due to a last-minute shortening of the Tu-144's display.[5]

An important contributing factor could be that control surfaces deflection had been de-restricted before the flight, perhaps to allow a more impressive demonstration, giving way for a bug of the electronics flight controls which deflected the elevons 10 degrees down after the retraction of the canards, causing the sudden dive.[8]

Bob Hoover, a pilot on the supersonic Bell X-1 program, believed that the rivalry of the Tu-144 and Concorde led the pilot of the Tu-144 to attempt a maneuver that went beyond the abilities of the aircraft: "That day, the Concorde went first, and after the pilot performed a high-speed flyby, he pulled up steeply and climbed to approximately 10,000 [feet] before leveling off. When the Tu-144 pilot performed the same manoeuvre he pulled the nose up so steeply I didn't believe he could possibly recover."[5]

Везде — только технические детали, о политических — ни слова. Объявило ли французское правительство, что виноват СССР, и сделал ли СССР извинения и компенсации французам. Но, видимо, об этом данных не осталось.

Войну что ли объявлять? Мертвых не вернешь. Виновные, бум надеяться, понесли наказание. Советы обвинили Францию в пром. шпионаже. Французы предложили похерить русское разгильдяйство в обмен на...
