They take Marcia to the coast to see the ocean—which she has never seen before—before ending up at Lenin's Aunt Blanca's (Beatriz Thibaudin) house. Lenin has not seen Aunt Blanca for nine years, and they discover Blanca rents out rooms to two lodgers. Blanca proves fascinating to Lenin and the two begin redeveloping a connection. Lenin confesses that she has not spoken to her mother in three years.
When they are alone Mao makes love to Marcia, then leaves her alone. We learn that Marcia is quite lonely since her boyfriend recently dumped her. She feels abandoned by everyone.

To hide the fact that she was kidnapped, the pimp writes hateful letters to her parents who become so distraught they commit suicide. At one point, she is stabbed in the eye for refusing a client. Madeleine then begins saving money to purchase a car to escape and take lessons in driving, shooting, and martial arts in order to take revenge.

В 1995 году режиссёр снимает свою последнюю картину «Опасная сторона» (в российском прокате с сопоставимой регулярностью используется и другое название — «Безумие»). В очередной раз взгляды режиссёра и продюсеров картины на степень откровенности сексуальных сцен и глубину их анализа разошлись. Дональд Кэммелл и его монтажёр были уволены, их имена в титрах упомянуты не были, а рабочие материалы смонтированы в версии продюсера. Это послужило причиной глубокой депрессии режиссёра, повлёкшей его самоубийство 24 апреля 1996 года[6]. В 2000 году фильм был восстановлен и издан в версии, максимально приближённой к режиссёрскому пониманию этой картины. Emily, a shy, recently divorced woman, lives alone in a New York apartment. A man forces his way into her apartment and performs a bizarre "rape." He forces her to make sounds of erotic satisfaction, capturing them on his tape recorder. She reports the attack to the police, and while they are interviewing her, Andrea stops by to comfort her.
Emily seeks safety by moving to an apartment in another section of the city. However, while she is moving out, the same man tries to attack her again. This time Andrea just happens to be visiting Emily and is able to prevent the man from entering Emily's apartment.
It soon becomes apparent that Andrea is not the helpful neighbor that she seems. For starters, she has the recording that was made during Emily's first attack. Andrea has developed an erotic fascination with Emily. She hired a taxi driver to perform the attacks, with the purpose of gaining the recording, to which she repeatedly listens to and eventually recites while fantasizing of Emily. Unaware of the situation, Emily continues to view Andrea as a friend. She also begins a relationship with the policeman (Cortese) who responded to her case. At this intrusion into her fantasy, Andrea becomes increasingly unhinged. She takes to spying on Emily through a telescope.
When Emily unwittingly hails a taxi driven by the very man who assaulted her, he strikes up a conversation "because you look familiar." She finally realizes who the man is and asks him to stop at a phone booth. She calls the police, who, amazingly, advise her to get back into the taxi and engage the man in harmless conversation until they can arrive to assist her.
With the taxi driver getting arrested and confessing to the entire plot, Emily and Andrea have a confrontation. Andrea professes her love for Emily, but Emily slaps her hard on the face and tells a devastated, weeping Andrea that they will never speak to each other again. Her ordeal over, Emily greets the detective at her front door.
Humanité (French: L'humanité) is a 1999

Called onto the case, Inspector Pharaon de Winter feels extreme revulsion. After having lost his wife and child in an accident, he now lives quietly with his widowed mother.
At the weekend his neighbour Domino, who is sympathetic to his deeply affected state, asks him to join her and her lover Joseph, a bus driver. They go to the seaside and to a restaurant, but the reserved Pharaon finds Joseph ignorant and coarse.
The police investigation moves slowly, with Pharaon looking into possibilities such as whether the murderer was a bus driver or a psychiatric patient. Noting that the murder site could be seen from Eurostar trains, he goes to London to interview passengers. But with no firm lead, the case is taken over by the Lille police.
The factory where Domino works goes on strike and the police, led by Pharaon, have to quell a demonstration. Though outwardly angry, in fact Domino admires his quiet determination and offers herself to him. However, he rejects her advances, finding them too vulgar, and his mother warns her off.
Then the Lille police arrest Joseph. When Pharaon gets to the police station, he finds him beaten up and weeping. At first baffled, Pharaon is soon surprised to find Joseph confessing in tears. Being a man of deep feeling, Pharaon comforts him, caressing him with his nose and kissing him on the mouth. When he goes home, his mother is out and Domino is at the kitchen table weeping. He comforts her. The final shot shows Pharaon sitting in a chair in his office at the police station, staring out the window, with handcuffs visibly shackling his wrists.

The film was inspired by some of the women who participated in the making of Born in Flames, who coincidentally supported themselves through prostitution.[3] Although Working Girls addresses the subject of prostitution in great detail, Borden prefers the film to be discussed as a narrative fiction film rather than as a documentary.[4] The film was intended to be a "backstage" look at prostitution. In a New York Times review, Vincent Canby writes, "Working Girls, though a work of fiction, sounds as authentic as might a documentary about coal miners." The film portrays prostitution as an often tedious, sometimes depressing, occasionally interesting or funny job. The main character, Molly, claims to have a degree from Yale University and is a lesbian in her private life." Roger Ebert gives it a thumbs up and Sheila Benson calls it "funny and insightful."

Alors qu'elle doit passer une audition pour un rôle, elle croise le regard d'un homme dans le train qui l'amène à Paris et elle est attirée par son air triste. Il lui demande le chemin de l'église Sainte-Clotilde à leur arrivée en gare.
Alix semble un peu désemparée, luttant contre les ennuis matériels divers et le temps qui file vite durant cette journée serrée qu'elle passe à Paris. Ne parvenant jamais à joindre au téléphone son compagnon, une fois son audition terminée, elle est irrésistiblement poussée par l'envie de revoir cet inconnu britannique et se rend en fin de matinée à l'église Sainte-Clotilde dont il avait demandé le chemin, et où ont lieu les funérailles auxquelles il se rendait.
De nouveau confronté à Alix, il est à son tour intrigué par cette jeune femme qui manifestement le suit. Ils échangent quelques mots sur le trottoir, mais quand il remonte dans sa chambre d'hôtel, Alix décide de le rejoindre. Ils passent à nouveau ensemble quelques heures volées à leurs vies respectives avant qu'Alix ne reprenne son train pour Calais où le soir même elle doit jouer. Alix s'enfuit sans un mot, mais de nouveaux ennuis de paiement la conduisent chez sa sœur avec laquelle elle entretient de mauvais rapports, pour réclamer quelque argent. De fait, elle rate son train de début d'après midi et doit prendre le suivant, décidant dans l'attente de l'horaire de retourner voir l'homme pour s'expliquer. Les deux amants, stupéfaits de se revoir, passent quelques heures ensemble, parlent d'eux, se livrent en marchant dans la ville animée par la Fête de la musique. À 43 ans, elle est tout juste enceinte et son compagnon l'ignore ; il est marié, a de grands enfants et a vécu lors de ses études une grande histoire d'amour à Paris. Alix rate à nouveau son train et de pressantes questions se posent à eux. L'heure du train du soir pour Calais approche, le dernier pour qu'Alix tienne ses obligations et puisse se produire sur scène. Sur le quai de la gare, elle apprend le nom de cet homme, Doug, et réussit enfin à joindre par téléphone son compagnon après une journée d'insuccès.
