А вот забавно, с какого времени чистка обуви перестала быть обязательной? !980е? 1990?
Кажется, сейчас этого не делают регулярно даже в армии.
Забавно и появление слова "туфли" для мужской обуви в русском языке. Переводное? Ведь и у дам, "туфли" появились сравнительно недавно. До этого, кажется, были башмачки.
