Почему англичане выбрали фильм "Третий человек" лучшим в своем списке, может озадачить современного зрителя.
Меня, например.
Конечно, год. 1949. Для этого времени, вероятно, лента порвала. Что порвала?

Магия Уэллса Орсона? Слаженная работа всех актеров? Ведь сюжет, по нашим временам, слабоват.
И эта музыка, звучащая издевательски...

"По приглашению друга детства Гарри Лайма (Орсон Уэллс) в Вену приезжает автор вестернов, американский писатель Холли Мартинс (Джозеф Коттен).
